Horace Fisher was a painter of landscape, genre and portrait subjects – he often painted genre subjects in Italianate settings. He is recorded as living at   Herne Hill near London 1883-1898, spending a year in Venice 1886-1887.   Horace Fisher exhibited at the RA from 1882, showing 56 works there in all.   He also exhibited at the ROI, RI, RHA, RBA and in the provinces.
