Trish Claridge gained a BA Hons Fine Art (Painting) at  Cheltenham College of Art and Design followed by a Post Grad in Theatre Design at  Bristol Old Vic School. She went on to work as an Assistant Designer for Northampton Royal Theatre and Opera House.  This led to various theatrical designing posts followed by work in TV and  advertising.  Trish also worked as Fine Artist for Thomas Messel, cousin of Lord Snowdon and nephew of Oliver Messel - her work included paint effects, coats of arms and delicate pictoral decoration, chinoiserie etc, on high end furniture pieces. 


She is an established portrait painter and commissions include portraits for the poets U. A. Fanthorpe, Dr. R. V. Bailey and Carol Ann Duffy. Trish is a regular exhibitor at the Mall Galleries with The Society of Women Artists, also the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, The Pastel Society and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. Trish Claridge is an elected member of The Society of Women Artists.
