Sally Anne Fitter studied Ceramics at Bristol Art School, gaining a 1st Class BA Honours Degree. She then went on to study Textile Design and eventually setup a London-based Design Studio with clients such as Monsoon, Liberty's and Laura Ashley. She made the transition from textile design to painting some years ago and now exhibits widely around the UK. Her work is held in private collections here and abroad.
Sally says: I work mainly in acrylic on canvas, layering and working into the paint to create texture. I occasionally incorporate collage and gold leaf in my paintings and use a vivid and rich colour palette. My training as a textile designer is reflected in the use of pattern and decoration.
