Penny is a Northamptonshire artist working in oil, predominantly still-life in her studio or plein-air landscapes. In 2010 Penny embarked on a project whereby she executed a small daily painting from life in her studio as a record of her progress in the field of still-life. Her small paintings are posted via her blog to a growing audience of followers. They are generally of whatever subject matter is to hand as she considers the process of studying and depicting the effects of light to be the goal rather than the finished work. Her larger works can be found in galleries around the UK. Penny regularly contributes articles to The Artist magazine and in 2015 was awarded The Artist Purchase Prize, judged by Ken Howard. Penny shows regularly with the ROI, holds one-day workshops and offers painting holidays in France .
