John Noott Galleries

An animal artist who was born in Winchester during the 1840's, Valentine Garland began exhibiting his work at the Royal Academy in 1868 and he continued to exhibit at other venues such as Suffolk Street and the New Watercolour Society, for the rest of his life. Garland eventually moved to London where he became very successful.  His works often included a still-life element which have always added to their appeal.
