Edward Brian Seago was a member of the Ipswich Art Club and Norwich Art Circle. He was an animal and landscape painter in oil and occasionally watercolour.

Seago was born in Norwich on 21 March 1910, the son of Francis Brian Seago who was a Coal Merchant and Director.

Edward was educated in Lowestoft. He attended the Royal Drawings Society, where he passed his examinations and won a special prize in 1924; although he was prevented from going to school after the age of thirteen due to an illness.

He was a keen sailor and traveller and always painted scenes of his journeys. His style has inspired many painters and unfortunately some copyists but very few can begin to match his technique.

He exhibited at many worthy venues from the Royal Academy to principal Provincial galleries.

We have nothing in stock at the present time but are always keen to acquire examples of the artist's work.
