From 1962 to1970 Peter Crook pursued his training as a fine art sculptor, studying at various art colleges in the UK and the USA. He followed a career as a lecturer in sculpture and 3-dimensional design in further and higher education, again in both the UK and USA.

Since his early retirement in 1997, Peter Crook has worked on a part-time basis and continued his development as a sculptor and woodturner. He has participated in a number of craft fairs and festivals, including the 2005 Contemporary Craft Fairs at the MAC in Birmingham.
