Peter Hodge

Peter Hodge was born in 1949 and spent his childhood in the Cotswold village of Snowshill. After three years studying at Gloucester College of Art and Design he spent several years working as a picture restorer and musician before joining Boehm of Malvern as a painter, and later designer of fine porcelain pieces. During this period Peter Hodge continued with his own painting and designing on a freelance basis, but his work was in such demand that in 1985 he decided to concentrate on painting full-time.

He derives much of the inspiration for his work from the landscape and wildlife of the Cotswold and Worcestershire countryside where he now lives with his wife and son. He has had one-man shows in Broadway in 1998 and 2000, as well as participating in many mixed exhibitions. Best known for his watercolour paintings, Peter Hodge continues to work in other areas of art and his designs have been widely reproduced on greetings cards, and limited edition prints, whilst his original paintings hang in collections throughout the world.
