Mark Leach is a professional artist based near Rye in Sussex. He is a leading figure in the world of contemporary pastel painting, with many prizes and publications to his name. His work, whether landscape, cityscape or still life, concerns the place of man in nature. Through simple colour and form an essential truth and harmony are sought.

Mark Leach's paintings are exhibited in London and through the UK, Europe and the USA, and are held in both private and corporate collections world-wide. He is a member of the Federation of British Artists and Honorary Treasurer of the Pastel Society.

Mark Leach has won many awards for his work, most recently the  Arts Club Award, Pastels Today, London (2003), the Debra Manifold Memorial Award (2004), and the Unison Pastels Prize, presented by Sir Roy Strong at the Mall Galleries, London (2005).
