Painter Robin Hazlewood RI works mainly in watercolour and gouache, his subjects ranging from landscape to figure drawing, from portraiture to the interiors of churches and public spaces. He shows regularly in galleries in London and around the UK

Born in Warwickshire in 1944, Robin Hazlewood studied at Coventry College Art and Liverpool College of Art. During his career in education he was Head of Putney School of Art; Head of the Fine & Applied Art Department at the Sir John Cass School of Art, City of London Polytechnic; Dean of the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art & Design, City of London Polytechnic; and Vice Provost, London Guildhall University.

Memberships include: Freeman of the City of London (1994); Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company (1994); Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (1987); Member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (2002).
