Welcome!
Everyone at John Noott Galleries has a passion for art, in all its varied forms.
We look forward to sharing that passion with you - either here via our web site or when you visit us at one or more of our three galleries in beautiful Broadway, the gateway to the Cotswolds.
We are fortunate in having the space to exhibit a wide range of styles and subjects, from the contemporary seascapes of Duncan MacGregor to the whimsical paintings featuring Mr Mustard and Doris by the lovely Sam Toft. Our artists are selected from some of the finest painting today, from this country and abroad. Contemporary English artists of note include landscape painters John Hammond SWAc, Mervyn Goode, Mike Bernard RI and Norman Smith PS, with wonderful still-life paintings by Tim Gustard and Paul Seaton. Alan Thompson and Ian Parker are both from the Lake District but have developed a large following here in the Cotswolds. From the Midlands, Austin Moseley's depictions of everyday scenes featuring Bill and his dog are eargerly sought after and are now in collections as far afield as Japan. We are also fortunate in have several paintings in stock by Ken Howard RA and a particularly fine jazz painting by Dennis Syrett ROI RSMA RBA, former President of the Royal Society of Oil Painters.
Scottish artists are represented by Mairi Aitken and Mary Gillies, together with the fabulous figure paintings of Muriel Barclay and Helen Wilson. Peter Graham, a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, spent some time in Cambridge before returning to his native Scotland. Although not Scottish by birth, Caroline Bailey has, for many years, been fascinated by the coast line of the Western Isles, and is now a member of the Royal Scottish Watercolour Society.
From the opposite end of the country, Cornishman John Brenton was born in Cornwall and does great justice to the wonderful light in his land and seascapes; Gerry Plumb's quaint Cornish harbour scenes have a unique charm and appeal.
From further afield, we are also delighted to now feature the work of husband and wife team Valeriy Gridnev and Katya Gridneva, together with their son Feodor - born in Russia but now living and painting in this country. Ricardo Cejudo Nogales is one of Spain's foremost figurative painters, and we are proud to have been representing him in this country for some eight years. Although a British born painter, Keith Dunkley now lives and paints in France and we currently have a lovely selection of his intimate garden scenes.
We also show a select range of furniture made by Sir Gordon Russell - these galleries were, for many years, the show rooms for Gordon Russell furniture, his factory once situated behind the building.
Many, many more artists are represented by John Noott Galleries and Brodway Modern.
