The following work by Richard Simkin has been previously exhibited by John Noott Galleries and is now in private collections world wide.

Richard Simkin was a military artist who was living and working in Aldershot during the latter part of the nineteenth century. He is particularly well-known for his small, finely detailed paintings of military uniforms and parades. Richard Simkin also painted recruiting posters and illustrations for the Army and Navy Gazette.
