Henry H Parker

Henry Parker was a prolific and successful artist who usually painted river landscapes, coastal views or rural architecture, mostly in Wales, Kent and around the Thames in Surrey. His work is executed in a broad and confident naturalistic style which has been likened to the late works of Benjamin Williams Leader. Like many of his contemporaries, Henry Parker preferred a palette of strong greens in preference to browns. The quality of his work, which never appears hackneyed, has ensured that his work has always been very popular with collectors. However, Henry Parker never exhibited nationally - thus depriving the world of any biographical details!
