John Mellows produces a wide range of marine sculptures in various materials including silver, bronze and stainless steel. The highly futuristic designs often portray images of speed over water or the natural beauty of the sea.
John Mellows has produced series of trophies and presentation pieces for many prestigious sailing events. These include: Cowes Week; the Dragon Classic South Coast Championship; the Flying Dutchman World Championship; the Cutty Sark Tall Ships race; the Volvo Ocean Race; the YJA/Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year award; the Yachtsman of the Year award and the IPC Media awards for excellence in the marine industries.
John Mellows's sculptures and water features have been shown at garden exhibitions, including the Chelsea Flower Show at which he was awarded a silver medal. |
