Steve Langford was born in Worcester in 1956 and is still resides within the area.
Steve spent much of his childhood inventing and constructing things and developing his fascination with the countryside, wildlife and the world’s oceans.
Steve Langford left school at sixteen after applying for and successfully gaining a position as an artist within the Porcelain Department at the Royal Worcester Company. He worked for Royal Worcester for 15 years during which time he worked in many of the departments that make up the production of fine bone china, and within casting.
Steve Langford left Royal Worcester to join Country Artists, the wildlife figurine manufacturer and spent 15 years with them as a commercial sculptor. He became known for his finely detailed miniature sculptures and created commercial brands for High street retailers.
During this time Steve’s work was sold worldwide including America. He also had three of his pieces purchased on behalf of the Sultan of Oman.
Steve left Country Artists to concentrate on his own designs.
Although he works with other media Steve’s preferred media is resin bronze.
