Jenny Winstanley originally designed and moulded the unrivalled collection of lifelike Kensington cats and other animals.  However, for over forty years the Winstanley family have been producing the animals from the oringal moulds.

 

All the ‘Kensington cat’ animals produced have the distinctive cathedral glass eyes, their bodies of the finest hard-fired earthenware. They are individually hand painted and signed on the base as that each one is unique.

 

Although produced in Norfolk, the cats are better known as "Kensington Cats" because they were first sold in Kensington, London.
