Peter studied painting at Beckenham and at the St. Martin's Schools of Art.  After a short spell in the world of advertising and a rather longer period involved with textiles, he moved to the Rye area to paint full time.  His subjects are mainly landscapes of the countryside between Romney Marsh and the South Downs, with a particular interest in hedgerows and wild flowers in all its moods and seasonal variations.  He works predominantly in acrylics producing miniature works of precise detail and quality.  He exhibits widely, particularly in the South East and has had paintings in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions on a number of occasions.
