David Howell works from a studio in the West of England, painting in watercolour, oils and pastels, and concentrating particularly on marine and landscape subjects. He also paints equestrian pictures with particular emphasis on racing and associated activities. He travels widely in search of new material and is just as likely to be found with an easel in the Arabian desert as in a ditch in Somerset.

David Howell is a regular at national exhibitions and galleries in the UK, the USA, and in the Middle East where he lived for many years, and his paintings have been on show recently at the Royal Academy, the Mystic Gallery in Connecticut, USA, and various other spring and summer shows. Plans for 2006 include a major one-man show in Melbourne, Australia. David has also recently been tutoring in France.

David Howell’s work has been published as limited edition prints, in book form, magazine articles and other publications, and his paintings hang in private and corporate collections in locations as diverse as City of London boardrooms to royal palaces in Arabia.
