The following work by Nick Hebditch has been previously exhibited by John Noott Galleries and is now in private collections world wide.

Nick Hebditch was born in Calcutta in 1959, but has lived in the UK ever since. He studied at Canterbury College of Art and Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham where he gained a degree in Fine Art.

Since leaving college, foreign travel has generated an interest in architectural subject matter that still continues to influence him. This has led to 3 distinct but interrelated working methods: watercolour, printmaking, and mixed media. From very precise observations of a wall, doorway or courtyard in watercolour, his work varies between decorative and lively lino and screen prints to unexpected outcomes in mixed media. In these paintings Nick combines faithfulness to the subject matter with freshness and experimentation using a range of materials such as paint, collage, printmaking, pencil and pastel.

Nick Hebditch has exhibited widely in London and SE England, including the Royal Academy, the Mall and Medici galleries, as well as in Europe and the Middle East and at Broadway Modern in the Cotswolds. He also works to commission for both domestic and corporate clients. These commissions include portraits of private houses, views of popular tourist destinations for travel companies, industrial subjects - such as Battersea Power Station or Waterloo International Station - for office walls, and work for the advertising industry.
