| A painter of townscapes, landscapes, portraits and figures in oils, David Graham trained at Hammersmith School of Art, St Martin's and the RCA (1948-51). He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Portrait Painters and at the Paris Salon, and held solo exhibitions at the Guildhall and Mall galleries in London as well as in the provinces. His work is represented in public collections including the London Museum. David Graham has made many trips to Israel to record the people, architecture and landscape in a series of paintings. His work is richly coloured, selective in detail and establishes the subject with a direct, vibrant handling of paint. |
