| Born in 1948, Mervyn Goode studied Landscape Architecture at the Gloucestershire College of Art, but soon after completing his course decided to pursue his true vocation as a painter. He has always been a keen naturalist and conservationist, and part of his wooded garden is kept as a small nature reserve. Mervyn Goode is an artist who lives amongst, and is inspired by, the varied moods and seasons of his 'cherished corner of the countryside'. He depicts landscape from an intimate point of view rather then seeking out 'the obvious'. Mervyn has held numerous exhibitions in London and the provinces, as well as in the United States of America. His works are in numerous private collections throughout the world and have also been reproduced as prints and cards by the Medici Society and Rosenstiel’s as well as being featured in many Fine Art books and periodicals. |
