Sculptor Rosemary Cook was born in Portsmouth in 1952 and educated at St. Felix, Southwold, Suffolk and Chichester College, Sussex. Between 1985 and 1987 she attended Lincoln College of Art and Design.

Rosemary Cook worked for many years as a conservator and restorer of the decorative arts, but since returning to live and work in Suffolk in 1992, she has been able to translate the skills used in restoration into her sculpture of animals and people. The essence of her work is to capture the immediate spark of liveliness in her subject and to portray their true spirit. Her style is impressionistic and unsentimental and her speciality is dog sculpture.   Limited editions of her works are cast in bronze or in a range of metal resins – bronze, copper and iron.
