Kyra Cane was born in 1962. She graduated in 1985 from Camberwell School of Art with a BA (Hons) First Class Degree in Ceramics and subsequently qualified with an Art Teachers’ Certificate from Goldsmiths College, London University in 1986. She is currently course leader of the Ceramics degree course at the University of Westminster.
As well as lecturing in ceramics at colleges and universities since graduating, Kyra Cane has had numerous group and solo shows throughout the UK and has been featured in articles and critical reviews in publications including Ceramic Review. She has also been the recipient of several grants and awards.
In 1995 Kyra Cane was commissioned to make a presentation piece for the Queen on the opening of the Queens Building at the University of Westminster.
Kyra Cane is a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain. |
