Evelyn Body was born in Windsor, England in 1955, although her younger years were spent in Malaysia, Germany, Thailand and Greece. Back in England she studied environmental design, sculpture and drawing at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art, and then architectural design, carving and stonemasonry at Weymouth Technical College.
Evelyn Body trained in the traditional use of stucco while working as a decorative freehand plasterer on the fire-damaged ceilings of Prior Park, Bath. In 1999 she learned dry stone walling and building earth dykes on Exmoor.
Evelyn Body is a member of the Art Workers Guild and the Society of Designer Craftsmen and she accepts commissions.
