Edward Armfield

Little is known about Edward Armfield, but he is believed to be the son of George Armfield, the well-known London painter of dogs, especially terriers chasing birds, cats or mice, in the style of Landseer. George Armfield also painted landscapes, dead game birds and other wild animals. Edward Armfield painted very similar subjects and his work is often confused with that of his father.
