Brain Andrew was born in 1962 in Hayes, South London.  On leaving school his main hobby was model making and after a few years he took this a step further and attended evening classes in ceramics.  This was a turning point for Brain and he began to make his own pieces - being from then on entirely self taught.

 

Brain Andrew now lives in Cornwall with his wife and children. He has his own studio which is devoted to the production of ceramics and original sculptures.  Andrew's love for wildlife grew as he became more familiar with the countryside through the walking his dogs. 

 

Brian Andrew eventually tried his hand at raku animals which is now a favourite process and he has refined over the last few years, finding that this oriental medium enhances his distinctive style of sculpture.
