John Sargent Noble
1848-1896
A London animal and sporting painter, John Sargent Noble is particularly known for his pictures of dogs. He studied at the Royal Academy Schools and was a pupil of Landseer. He exhibited between 1866 and 1895 at all the major London galleries including the Royal Academy, with titles such as “Otter Hounds” (1876), “Royal Captives” (1888) and “Trusty Friends” (1890).
