Neville Fleetwood was born in Huddersfield in 1932.   He studied at the Huddersfield School of Art and then worked in a graphics studio before starting up his own business.   He retired early, in 1983, to concentrate on painting full time.

He was made a member of the ROI in 2000 and has exhibited frequently in the North of England, London and in the Cotswolds at one-man shows at our galleries in Broadway. A range of limited edition prints by Neville Fleetwood are now on sale at John Noott's Broadway Editions Gallery - details of which can be found on this website.

Neville Fleetwood explains that his landscapes and coastal scenes are predominantly of the Yorkshire countryside – hills and cottages flattened and not in perspective.   His still lifes are exaggerated not only in colour but in the shapes and sizes of the objects being painted.   For him the pleasure of painting is in applying paint in bright colours thickly with brush and palette knife.
